Tacho Sobre La Independencia Mexicana - Tacho on Mexican Independence

Todas las grandes ciudades, y hasta el más chico poblado, lucen en vistosos colores: verde, blanco y colorado.

Cordeles de lado a lado, que cuadriculan los cielos, muestran fotos de los heroes Hidalgo, Allende y Morelos.

Banderas por todas partes hacen acto de presencia, y todo  con un anhelo, festejar la independencia.


Nomas que aquí algo no encaja. Se pierde más cada día, y conforme avanza el tiempo, hay menos soberanía.

No hay mucho que festejar. No entiendo tanto jolgorio. Lo más congruente, Gaviota, es preparar un velorio.

All the big cities, and even the smallest town, are displaying the bright colors: green, white and red.

Ribbons from side to side that make a grid of the sky show pictures of the heroes Hidalgo, Allende and Morelos.

Flags are present everywhere, and all of this with one desire: to celebrate the independence.

But something just doesn't seem right. We lose more every day, and with the passage of time, our sovereignty is also being lost.

There isn't much to celebrate about. I don't understand so much merrymaking. The most fitting thing to do, Gaviota, is to prepare a funeral.
